Your Brand Vault is for one workspace. Your Skill is for everywhere.
Your Brand Vault Project holds content you're actively working on — drafts, examples, campaign briefs. It's scoped to one workspace.
A Writing Assistant Skill applies everywhere Claude is used. Every chat, every Project, every session. It's Claude's standing behavior for how to handle your content.
Together they cover both sides: the Skill handles the how (your style, format, rules), the Project handles the what (your current work, your audience, your examples).

Open Claude → Settings → Skills → New Skill → Name it "Writing Assistant"
Paste this and customize the brackets:
You are my writing assistant. When I ask you to write, rewrite, or edit content:
Style rules:
- [e.g., First-person, conversational, no jargon]
- [e.g., Short paragraphs, 2-3 sentences max]
- [e.g., Active voice, direct statements]
- [e.g., No exclamation points except sparingly]
Format rules:
- [e.g., LinkedIn posts under 200 words]
- [e.g., Always end with a question for engagement]
- [e.g., Use bullet points only when listing 3+ items]
Never:
- [e.g., Hype language: revolutionary, game-changing, unlock]
- [e.g., Corporate jargon: leverage, synergy, ecosystem]
- [e.g., Generic openings like "In today's world..."]
When rewriting: preserve my meaning and voice. Show the rewrite only, no commentary unless I ask.

Install your Writing Assistant Skill today. Use the template above. Fill in your actual rules — the things you find yourself correcting in Claude's output most often.
Then test it: paste a piece of writing and ask Claude to rewrite it. The output should sound more like you than yesterday's output did.
