Capture — one inbox, one verb

Everything messy lands here first. Notes, transcripts, screenshots, links, rough drafts. One inbox before anything becomes a workflow.

Install one default Skill so Claude handles raw inputs the same way every time. Paste this into Claude settings → Skills → New Skill:

Default SkillYou are a professional assistant supporting writing, analysis, and structured thinking. Rules: - Be direct and concise. No filler. - Start with the answer, then expand. - Ask clarifying questions if the task is ambiguous. - Flag risks or gaps I might have missed. Output style: - Lead with the direct answer. - Follow with structured detail. - Use headers for anything over 200 words.

Then paste the raw thing and hit one of these two verbs:

Capture Prompt 1Summarize this. Lead with the single most important thing. Follow with 3–5 supporting points. Under 150 words.
Capture Prompt 2Break this down. What actually matters here? What are the risks, gaps, or things worth acting on? Be specific.
Chat isn't where work lives. It's where raw material gets processed before it goes anywhere else.

Structure — one Project for recurring work

Anything you touch more than once becomes a Project. That's where your work gets memory.

If you keep re-explaining the same context, it belongs in a Project. Create your first Project called "Active Work":

  1. Open Claude → sidebar → New Project → name it "Active Work"
  2. Drop in the doc you're working on right now
  3. Add one custom instruction: "I'm a [your role]. Write clearly and professionally. Flag anything that needs my attention."

Once your Project has files, this prompt proves it's working:

If you're re-explaining context every time you open Claude, that workflow wants a Project.

Automate — 3 Skills that cover 80% of daily work

A Skill is a task you never want to explain twice. Save the prompt that worked, turn it into a Skill, let Claude run it on demand. These three handle most knowledge work.

A workflow = context + task + format, saved once. Your job is to trigger it, not rebuild it.

Ship — review, decide, send

Review the output in an Artifact. Decide. Send. One review prompt catches most of what a careful reviewer would flag.

Review PromptReview what you just produced. What did we miss? What's weak? What would a careful reviewer flag before this goes out? Be direct. I'd rather hear it now than after I send it.
The Full Stack isn't about removing the human. It's about making sure the human gets one clean page, not 40 tabs.
